Dear
Visitor/Customer,
Contemporary
Notice: The
economic stress caused by the global economic crisis has
impacted individuals and families and can bring long term health
problems. This, in turn, can multiply and intensify negative
thoughts and emotions. While the Great Recession
is over for Wall Street, it is not over for millions of
Americans. Stress management should be one
of your major priorities. Heart centered prayer by your
inner person can make a sustainable contribution in this area.
The Mission of CLHERBS.COM is to continue researching, recommending,
and providing quality holistic health management
services and products to enhance your quality of life. Our mission includes raising awareness about the new model of
the heart and its importance in improving your standard of physical, emotional,
mental, and spiritual health.
Raising awareness also includes the
new paradigm of heart centered prayer and how that can
benefit your psychosomatic health and well being.
Prayer, spagyric super nutrients, and Heart Math tools
are primary means to this end of bringing holistic
health to your inner person..
CLHERBS.COM promotes spagyric herbal
dietary supplement combinations to improve your diet and
quality of you life. Click here for my
spagyric dietary supplements Home page. Our
mission is also to communicate and promote stress
management strategies and products
from HeartMath, Inc. Stress and its relationship to disease prevention and quality of life
impacts your total person (which is your inner person) on many
levels. Your total person is your mind (spirit), body, heart, and
soul. Our spiritual life is a vital part of our
holistic health strategy.
The
pictures at the top are of Saints Cosmas and Damian - patron Saints of
health care and disease prevention in the Eastern Orthodox Tradition.
They were chosen to emphasize that holistic health
is about more than the body. It is about your body, mind, heart,
spirit and soul and
their synergistic interaction directed by your inner person which is no
longer under control of the passions.
The
pictures of Ronald and Nancy Reagan were taken in
Houston by one of our web designers back in 1980 when
Candidate Reagan was running for the Presidency. They
are there as part of the celebration and remembrance of
the Twentieth Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall
and as a tribute to Former President Reagan's
contribution to ending the Cold War with a minimum cost
in lives and national treasure.
This website explores the question of
heart based Transpersonal Health. Can transpersonal non-local dimensions have an impact
on our health - both positive and negative? Many
will answer this question with cerebral based solutions,
but we base our health exploration model in the
heart. Developing Inter-dimensional health keeps
our body, mind (spirit), heart, and soul in
inter-dimensional balance.
The
heart is the key to holistically reorienting the
energies of your inner person. The heart should be your center or
base of operations for integrating your mind (spirit), body,
heart and soul. We need all of our
faculties functioning as a team. When you are
using your heart intelligence correctly it is a major aid in
managing stress. The first step in using this
intelligence is to
focus or center your attention, which is a subtle
faculty of your spirit, in your heart.
Stress is a term
used to describe the wear and tear the body and soul experience in
reaction to everyday tensions and pressures. Change, illness,
injury or career and lifestyle changes, are common causes of
stress, however, it's the affects of stress, like pressure and
tension, that we feel in response to the little everyday hassles—like
rush hour traffic, waiting in line, and too many emails—that
do the most damage. Feelings of anger, jealousy, and hatred also
cause stress and are symptoms of an unhealthy soul.
Stress and the
effects of stress are often misunderstood. We look at outside
events as the source of stress, but in fact stress is really
caused by our emotional reactions to events. The stress we
experience in today's world often goes unnoticed and unmanaged.
Many people have simply adapted to stress in an unhealthy way,
resigned to thinking it's "just the way it is".
Unfortunately, lack of stress management has created a pandemic
of low-grade anxiety and depression which directly effects the
immune and the endocrine systems.
Human beings have
a faculty or ability to commune with God. This faculty
is called the "nous" (spirit) (a
transliteration of the Greek word). This word is often
translated "mind" or "intellect," but these
terms are misleading to Westerners AND SOMETIMES CONFUSING.. The nous,
what we in the West translate as spirit, is not the
analytical, logical ability.
The nous or spirit
is a separate function from the mind . The nous or spirit knows directly and intuitively,
without being mediated through words or thoughts. The nous, which is scattered about in the
senses, should return to its natural center in the heart. This
should be its normal base of operations, just as the mind's
normal base of operations is in the brain. The nous,
centered back in the heart, awakens what was dormant, the
inner intelligence of the
heart. This intelligence can help synchronize your brain
waves - alpha, beta, theta, etc. - to their optimum performance
levels.
Noetic (spiritual)
knowledge or awareness, then, does not come through the
rational, analytic mind. In the modern West, our terms
"soul" or "the real me" or "my inner
self" roughly correspond to the "nous" as does
our word spirit. Most of us, as we are now, seldom experience the action
of the nous (spirit). Real prayer is the nous (spirit) communing
with God in a wordless, imageless state. The logical, verbal
mind cannot commune with God; it can only talk or think
about God or address thoughts and words to God. When we are
saying or thinking words addressed to God, this is a very low, immature
level of prayer.
It is the best
that most of us are capable of, as we are now. It is better than
not praying at all, but it explains why prayer seems so flat and
frustrating to us so much of the time. Because this low level of
prayer, in which the logical mind instead of the nous
(spirit) is trying to commune with God, is so frustrating,
most of us give up on trying to pray.
Emotions, or
feelings, have a powerful impact on the human body. Emotions
like frustration, insecurity and depressing feelings are
stressful and inhibit optimal health and relief from stress.
Positive emotions like appreciation, care, and love not only
feel good, they promote health, performance and well-being. The
key to sustainable positive emotions is sustained positive
attention in your heart.
The science of
Psychoneuroimmunology, (PNI) now more than 20 years old, has
established the interconnectedness of the mind with the nervous,
endocrine, and immune systems. PNI views the body as an integrated
network. When healthy, this network allows the body
systems to work in harmony with the mind and emotions.
The heart is the center and summation of
the faculties of the soul - the
intelligent, the appetitive (desire) and the incensive
(affective, what we call the temper).
A growing body of
evidence is demonstrating that life stress, including negative
emotions and negative attention, can alter immune function, thus impacting the body's
ability guard against disease and maintain health.
Chronic
activation of cortisol, the body's response to stress, can
produce unhealthy physiological outcomes including increased
blood pressure, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, immune systems
suppression, to name but a few. Sustained negative
emotions have also been shown to contribute to these problems
(for more on the effects of negative emotions see the Techniques page).
Developing sustained,
positive emotions will contribute to greater well being and enhanced
quality of life. So Get
Well and Stay Well! Start Improving your quality
of life today! Your are worth the investment. Learn
to focus your attention, which is a subtle faculty of your
spirit, in your heart!
Sincerely,
C.L.
